Inkspirations Sketch Challenge #45

Hi there,
After a year or two of viewing Keesh's blog and her Inkspirations Challenges, I can finally join in now my blog is set up.

It was great to participate in this challenge as I find sketches are great to take you out of your comfort zone and that is certainly how I felt with this challenge! As I was creating this card, I realised that it also almost fit the colours that Dawn McVey set on her blog this weekend so my first challenge entry ever is a double!

I started by using Vintage Cream cardstock for my base and matting the next layer of Vintage Cream on Kraft cardstock. After stamping a flourish on this 2nd layer of cream card using Chamomile Ink, I ran it through my Cuttlebug using Papertrey Ink's Argyle Impression Plate. I matted some Green Tea Leaves paper with Riding Hood Red cardstock. A layer of glitter was added using Scor-Tape.

My trees were stamped with Versamark Ink and embossed on Kraft cardstock using the tree image from Autumn Leaves - A Rhonna Christmas. These were then cut out and mounted on to a Vintage Cream circle cut with Nestabilities.  To create the look of snow, glitter was added below the trees with two-way glue. The sentiment was stamped in Riding Hood Red ink with the Wings of Joy set from Taylored Expressions. A matching envelope was stamped with chocolate ink using the tree and flourish image.
I always like to finish the inside of my cards and carry the theme through. I matted some cream cardstock on Green Tea Leaves paper and stamped another tree image and flourish with Chamomile Ink. The message was stamped again using the Wings of Joy set and Riding Hood Red Ink.
I had heaps of fun joining in these challenges and can't wait for more!! I will be back soon with a birthday card for my son.

Take care,
