Colour Create Challenge #65

Well its been a crazy week again - my daughter has been off school half of last week with the flu and then we had a weekend up in Toowoomba for a family wedding which was lovely, but now that means I am playing catch up with all my challenge cards. This card is also my first as a member of the Colour Create  Design Team, which is a fortnightly colour challenge that I am excited to be a part of. My first challenge uses some 'challenging' colours - green/olive, cream, black and brown (with the optional extra of adding leaves):
10 March - Challenge 65 - Di Greens/olive green, brown, cream and black
The sponsor for this week is Michelle's Scrapbooking

WHERE TO SHOP
and the prize is the new Sizzix Textured Impressions Embossing Folder-County CottageHere is my card:

I matted some Thrift Shop paper with Old Olive cardstock and added a small strip of Kraft cardstock punched with my Apron Lace border punch. I stamped the flowers in black ink and embossed with clear powder, stamping the leaves in Old Olive ink. Chocolate Chip ink and card were both used for the mat for my image and the matching sentiment. Its also hard to see, but I stamped a flourish image over the cream cardstock in Versamark ink to add a little interest. Before adhering my image layer I used my slot punch to create two holes to thread through my black ribbon and to finish off the card front I added silver rhinestones to the flower centres.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment in Chocolate Chip ink and the smaller flower image in Tuxedo Black ink. I then randomly stamped the flourish image again in Versamark ink and some more black ribbon was added to finish off the inside.

Make sure you pop on over to the Colour Create blog and see what the rest of the designers have created and link your creation!

Just a couple more cards to post in the next two days and then I think I will having a nice weekend resting and phoning close friends who I haven't spoken to in weeks as life has been just so busy!!
Take care and thanks for visiting!
