Colour Create Challenge #72

Hi, I am back with another fortnightly challenge for the Colour Create blog and this week's colours are purple, blue and silver! Very challenging as purple is not my fave colour but I toned it down and ended up happy with the result. Here is the inspiration picture:
2 June - Challenge 72 - Sharon L Purple, Blue & Silver

The optional extra challenge was to make this card a masculine card, and would you believe it wasn't until I finished making it that I realised that I had forgotten this important detail and my card is far from masculine!!! Oops! Here is my card:

I created my background layer by using Aqua Mist cardstock and lightly ruling a grid in pencil to ensure my images were going to line up correctly. I stamped the small butterfly from Butterfly Dreams in Baja Breeze ink and my silver diamond from Background Basics: Botanicals in silver pigment ink. I stamped the small leaf image from Mat Stack 1 Collection (hard to see here -much clearer IRL) in Pink Pastel ColorBox Chalk ink - but its more purple in colour. Finally, its hard to see, but I stamped a small flower from Beautiful Blooms ll in Whisper White ink to finish off the pattern.

I used my Mat Stack 1 Die to die cut some white cardstock and then stamped the design in Baja Breeze ink. The sentiment from Butterfly Dreams was stamped in silver pigment ink and clear embossed. Before adhering the die cut to the card, I first added some Hawaiian Shores ribbon and then popped the die cut on top with dimensionals. To finish off the front, I stamped two flowers from Beautiful Blooms ll in Pink Pastel Chalk ink and then die cut a butterfly from white felt adding some silver rhinestones down the centre.

On the inside, I continued the butterfly and leaf pattern along the bottom and stamped another sentiment from Butterfly Dreams in silver pigment ink. I paper pierced a butterfly trail and then added a butterfly stamped in Baja Breeze ink.

Head on over to the Colour Create blog and see what the other designers have created. They have been much more successful at creating a masculine card!! By entering your card in this week's challenge you will go in the draw to win a voucher to spend at Bunny Zoe's Crafts:

Welcome to the club - I've forgotten the optional extra too on occasion too :)

Your card is way to beautiful to be masculine! Love the ribbon and the beautiful sentiment.
