Today its AnnaBelle Stamps challenge time and this week its:
There are so many ways that squares can be incorporated, but I kept mine quite simple.
I turned to one of my favourite AnnaBelle Stamps sets - Ballerina Rose, stamping the large flower image in Pumpkin Pie and Riding Hood Red ink, then cutting out 2 squares of each colour which were then matted on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I mounted the squares with dimensionals onto my main layer which uses some retired Stampin' Up paper. I stamped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red ink and then straight stitched around the edge of my paper once the corners had been rounded. To finish off, I tied some orange ribbon around the bottom and adhered a handmade paper flower to the bow with a white pearl in the centre.
Here is the inside of my card:
The inside is actually my favourite part of this card and I have used this idea for a future AnnaBelle challenge as I loved it so much!! I stamped the main flower image in Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron to create a graduated colour effect and then overlapped the sentiment in Riding Hood Red ink using a stamp from Jasmine's Cupcake.
